What to Look for While Buying Powerbanks?

Without a mobile phone, it is now quite difficult to spend even a few hours. As we need to use a mobile phone frequently, it is always important to keep it recharged. But when we step out of the home, we must limit our usage of mobile phone for not having recharging option with us.

Powerbanks

Well, if you have a power bank, you don’t need to worry about recharging your phone no matter where you are. The power bank is quite a popular device nowadays. Whether you are going camping or traveling for long hours, the power bank can give you backup for a long time. Powerbanks comes in different designs, shapes, and configuration. So, while buying a power bank, you need to consider a few things. These things are discussed below:
Matching the charging capacity
The first thing you will need to look for while buying powerbanks is the charging capacity. Every power bank comes with a specific capacity to charge your phone. You will need to understand your power requirement first before getting any specific power bank. Some cell phones need more time to recharge while others take few minutes. While buying a power pack, you will need to look for the battery capacity, which is given with the label of every battery. The charge of an electrical device is measured in milliamp-hours (mAh). If your phone has the capacity of 3,000 mAh and you buy a power bank of 15,000 mAh of capacity, you can recharge your phone for five times with one full charge of the power bank. At least theoretically. You must account for some lack of power from the process of transporting the power from the power pack to your mobile device. However, being able to recharge your phone four times, in this example, should be well within the realm of possibilities.
You should also know that the battery of a tablet requires more power than a smartphone. So, buy a power bank accordingly.
Number of ports
If you want to charge multiple devices at the same time with your power bank, you will need multiple ports in your power bank. Old power bank models come with single output port, but modern ones come with multiple power outputs. It allows you to charge different devices simultaneously. While buying a power bank, you will need to look for the current capacity of each of the ports and match with your devices.
Size and weight
Size and weight play a very important role while choosing a power bank. As you will carry the power bank in your pocket or purse, it needs to be compact and light weight. Though the large capacity power banks tend to be heavier, you can look for the smaller size for carrying it smartly.
Lithium-ion or lithium polymer battery?

Power packs with two different types of batteries are available in the market. One is the lithium-ion, and another one is the lithium polymer. Though lithium-ion is a cheaper option than the another, charging batteries multiple times is difficult with this battery. On the other hand, the lithium polymer battery is expensive but worth every penny. It is also quite flexible to use.
So, these are a few things you will need to look for while buying powerbanks.
